Sydney Rohm, is currently in her second season as the Head Coach at Memorial University of Newfoundland.  Before becoming a Sea-Hawk, Sydney's impact has resonated across various levels of the sport, both nationally and provincially.

In 2022, Sydney brought her expertise to the Jr. National Program serving as an assistant coach with the U19 Team Canada program. This experience showcased her ability to nurture and guide emerging talent hoping to prepare them for the international stage.

Sydney's coaching tenure extends to her alma mater, the University of Manitoba, where she served as the Assistant Coach for the Bisons from 2017 to 2022. Concurrently, she took on the role of Assistant Coordinator for the Jr. Bison program, contributing significantly to the development of young athletes within the university and junior levels.

Her coaching journey began in 2012, delving into the club scene and steadily building a reputation for excellence. Sydney's coaching acumen has not been limited to club teams; she has made significant contributions to various Manitoba provincial teams and programs, further enriching the volleyball landscape in Manitoba.

Sydney Rohm's legacy is not confined to the sidelines; as a player, she stands tall as a University of Manitoba alumna, having secured a national title with the team in 2014. Her on-court performance is immortalized in the CanWest record books, where she still holds the record for the most assists in a regular season match. This dual perspective as both player and coach uniquely positions Sydney to understand the game at a profound level, bridging the gap between theory and practical application.

Sydney Rohm's coaching philosophy revolves around cultivating a holistic environment that prioritizes skill development, teamwork, and a profound passion for the sport. Beyond the technical aspects, Sydney places immense value on effective communication and instilling in athletes the belief that they are capable of far more than they might initially perceive. Her commitment to excellence, coupled with her deep understanding of the game, not only shapes the volleyball landscape but also empowers each athlete to reach their full potential.
