Women's Sea-Hawks Soccer Players Honored with AUS Awards

Three of the Memorial Sea-Hawks Women's Soccer Team Earned Awards During the AUS Awards.

Zöe Rowe- Rowe is in her 4th year of a Biochemistry (nutrition) degree at Memorial and is in her 3rd year of eligibility. Known for her lethal presence in front of the net, Rowe has it all, speed, footwork, and clearly an accurate shot. Rowe finished the regular season with an impressive 9 goals and 2 assists to accumulate a total of 11 points in just 10 games. Rowe was named an AUS First Team All Star for her exceptional performances on the field. Rowe also received the AUS Student-Athlete Community Service Award for her work off the field. Rowe is not only an exceptional student, earning a 4.0 GPA as well as being a three time academic all-Canadian but also volunteers countless hours to different groups. On Campus, Rowe is the president of her class representing the student body. Off campus, Rowe volunteers with multiple organizations such as Easter Seals NL where she facilitates recreational activities, and with Star Development where she is the lead coach, facilitating bi-weekly soccer sessions for 50 athletes.

Claire Langille- Langille is in her 4th year of a Biochemistry degree at Memorial and is in her 3rd year of eligibility. Langille's presence is dominant on the field. Her pace down the wing and precision ball handling into the box creates numerous scoring opportunities a game for her team. She is an exceptional playmaker leading the Sea-Hawks with 5 assists. Langille's playmaking abilities were honored as she was named an AUS Second Team All-Star.

Sarah Jones- Jones is a 4th year student who is currently in her first year of Education at Memorial and is in her 3rd year of eligibility. Jones is a versatile player, playing as both a midfielder and a defender this season. She is a force to be reckoned with, an aggressive defender who plays with heart and repels the opposing team's offense. She fearlessly battles for every ball, creating multiple turnovers for the other team each game. Jones' exceptional defending was recognized as she was named an AUS Second Team All Star.
