Summary
The Memorial Sea-Hawks women's curling team had a great weekend on the ice at the 2018 AUS Curling Championships, hosted at the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton, NB.
The team finished round robin play with a 3-3 record, which put them into fourth place overall, with the top four teams moving on to the playoff bracket.
Memorial would match up with first overall seed Dalhousie, in a very entertaining match. The Sea-Hawks would be down 7-5 going into the 8th end, holding hammer. Memorial grabbed two points, followed by a steal of one in the 9th to defeat the Tigers and earn their spot in the 2018 U Sports Curling Championships hosted in Leduc, Alberta March 24-28th.
The Sea-Hawks were unable to carry the momentum of the semifinal win into the final, as Mount Allison would take the AUS Championship with a 6-2 victory.
