Sea-Hawks Basketball Hitting the Road

The Memorial Sea-Hawks (1-1) will face the UNB Reds (2-0) in first set of away games

 

The Sea-Hawks Women's basketball team split their home opening weekend with the UPEI Panthers. The Panthers took the first game 73-57. At the end of the second quarter, Memorial was up 12-11. It did not take long into the second quarter for the UPEI Panthers to take control and lengthen a lead. At half, the game was 37-22 for the Panthers. The panther discontinued to gain baskets and the game ended in a win for UPEI. Point leader for the game was Memorials Alana Short with 29. 

The second game of the series ended in a win for the Memorial Sea-Hawks. At half, the Sea-Hawks were only up by one point after a struggling second quarter. The Sea-Hawks managed to find consistency on the court and possess a 70-58 score when the final buzzer rang. 

The Sea-Hawks are hoping to add to their win column this upcoming weekend away at the face of the UNB Reds. The Reds have won both of the two games they have previously played and will be eager to keep their streak afloat. The defeated the St. FX X-Women 66-53 and 84-62.
