Sutton Finishes 6th at USports Championships

The 2017 USports Wrestling Championships concluded in Winnipeg, MB this weekend with the Brock Badgers once again claiming the top spot in both the men's and women's divisions.

The Memorial Sea-Hawks had one representative at this year's event, Dennis Sutton, who captured a bronze medal last season.  Sutton finished this year with a 1-3 record, which put him in 6th place overall in the men's 100kg division.

2nd Place - Waylon Decoteau of Regina Cougars
3rd Place - Baldwin Asala of Calgary Dinos
4th Place - Ignatius Pitt of Brock Badgers
5th Place - Jeremy Poirier of Concordia Stingers
6th Place - Dennis Sutton of Memorial Sea-Hawks
7th Place - Job Reinhart of Guelph Gryphons
8th Place - Arjun Sahota of Western Mustangs

Sutton defeated Job Reinhart from Guelph in his opening match, but was defeated by Waylon Decoteau (Regina Cougars) and Ignatius Pitt (Brock Badgers), which placed him in the 5th/6th placement matchup.  Sutton was unable to wrestling in his final match due to injury, which placed him in 6th overall.
