AUS RECORD BREAKER

Memorial's own Chris Weeks smashed AUS Records at Kemp Fry

Chris Weeks is a first year student who is tearing the record books. Weeks is not only setting club records but AUS records as well.

Weeks club and AUS records from the Kemp Fry are as followed:

50 m free 22.44 s (previous club record set in 2015)

50 m fly 23.64 s (previous club record set in 2015)

100 m free 48.62 s (previous club record set in 2016)

This is the first time the Sea-Hawks have had an AUS record holder since the 1980s!

Weeks also placed 2nd in the 100 m fly and helped his team to 3rd in each of the men's 4x200 m freestyle relay, 4x100 m freestyle relay, and 4x100 m medley relay.

Week's impressive times earned him AUS Athlete of the Week.

"I am happy to represent my university and put Memorial's name back into the record books" says Weeks, talking excitedly about his new achievements.

Weeks along with coach Chris Roberts were interviewed where Roberts praised Week's talent. "I think he's very talented, I think he's one of the best… I think going forward, the future is very, very bright for him" says Roberts (St. Johns Morning Show).
