The Sea-Hawks on the Road to Battle AUS's top Two Teams

The Sea-Hawks men's soccer team is back in action this weekend to face the AUS' current top two teams. Heading into their second last regular season weekend, Memorial sits at fourth place in the AUS Standings with Moncton and Saint Marys trailing by only 1 and 2 points respectively.

The Memorial Sea-Hawks have four regular season games remaining to prove that they are strong contestants. The Sea-Hawks goals have been spread across the roster. Colin Connors currently leads the team with 3 goals with Cabhan O'Keefe and Jacob Grant right behind him at 2 each. Goaltender Louis-Charles Vaillancourt has been strong between the pipes, he is tied for second in the AUS for GAA at 1.00 and has a save percentage of 0.733. Vaillancourt will be tested against some of the top players in the AUS this coming weekend.

The Sea-Hawks will face the first place Cape Breton capers on Friday who are led by Owen Sheppard who currently sits at 7 goals in 8 games. The Capers have won 7 games and have tied 1 to put them in first place with 22 points. The Sea-Hawks will encounter the hottest goalie in the AUS, Daniel Clarke who has a save percentage of 0.839 in 6 games. 

On Sunday, the Sea-Hawks will face the second place team, the St. FX X-Men. The X-men have 6 wins, 2 losses, and a tie which gives them a solid 19 points. The X-Men are commanded by AUS led Kyle Cordeiro who currently has 7 goals and 2 assists in 9 games. Two goalies currently share the net for the X-Men, William Veinot and Samuel Diltz, each with a save percentage of 0.750.

We aim for strong performances, hoping to secure victories that not only propel us into the playoffs but also build momentum and confidence for the remainder of the season."
