Sea-Hawks Curlers Off to AUS Championships

The Subway 2017 AUS curling Championships get started Thursday evening in Truro, Nova Scotia. The event, presented by Atlantic University Sport and Curling Canada features 14 teams from across Atlantic Canada, 7 men's and 7 women's clubs. 

On the women's side, the team is lead by skip Rebecca Roberts. Other members include Sarah Ford, Jessica Fleming and Stephanie Nadeau. They are coached by Wallace Gregory. The men's team is skipped by Adam Boland and includes Stephen Trickett, Zach Young and Evan Kearley. Their coach is Gary Ryan.

Memorial plays it's first matches in the second draw on Thursday, and the full schedule can be found here: http://www.atlanticuniversitysport.com/sports/curling/2016-17/index. And two sheets from each draw will be available on AUStv.ca, teams to be announced at time of air.

Three of the men's and three of the women's teams from this event will go on to represent the AUS in the 2017 U Sports / CCA Curling Championship hosted by Lakehead University in March. More information on the event can be found at http://en.usports.ca/championships/curling/index.
