Sea-Hawks Land 2X AUS All-Star Norm Burry

(St. John's, NL) The Memorial Sea-Hawks Men's Basketball team is proud to announce the addition of Norm Burry, a 6'4" Forward from Grafton, NB. Burry joins the Sea-Hawks as a Grad Transfer from the UNB Reds, where he has accumulated career averages of 14.4 PPG and 6.1 RPG, over his first 3 seasons.

Norm has made a significant mark in the AUS conference since his debut, earning AUS Rookie of the Year, followed by being named an AUS 2nd Team All-Star in back-to-back seasons. He has showcased his remarkable talent and commitment to excellence throughout his collegiate career, and will be a welcome addition to the Sea-Hawks men's basketball team next season.

Beyond his achievements on the court, Burry's dedication to academic excellence is equally impressive. When asked about his expectations for the upcoming season, Burry commented, "Fans can expect me to work hard, lead by example, and do whatever I can to help our team win."

Burry's connection to Newfoundland runs deep, with family roots in Happy Adventure, NL, and a long-standing tradition of summer visits, Burry brings not only his athletic prowess but also a personal connection to the province.

Sea-Hawks Head Coach, Ian Coultas, was asked what it means to add Norm to the roster next season, he said, "Norm is an outstanding addition to our team. He is a very well-rounded player that makes an impact in a variety of ways. He balances his physical style of play with an elite ability to shoot the ball from the 3PT line.
