In the third quarter, the Capers managed to gain a promising 18 point lead before the two teams grew intense tension and showed it on the court. The Sea-Hawks felt a sense of urgency and subbed on #23 Miles Fryett who has yet to touch the court this season. The Sea-Hawks fuelled by the heat, found themselves back within 3 to end the third quarter with major help from #13 Emmanuel Ring. Ring gained Memorial's first lead of the game in the fourth quarter off of a layup with 4.5 minutes remaining. The Sea-Hawks then opened the flood gates netting 31 points in the fourth quarter to end the game at a 98-83 win for the Sea-Hawks.
