After a weekend off, the Memorial Sea-Hawks Women's Volleyball (0-4) team will be hosting the Dalhousie Tigers (3-3) fighting for their first win of the season.

Memorial faced the first place Saint Mary's Huskies two weekends ago. Although they fell short both games, there were some close, hard contested sets that had the crowd on the edge of their seats. The Sea-Hawks fell short in all 3 sets during Friday's match with scores of 25-21,25-19, and 25-23. Memorial's #16 Lydia Grawer posted an impressive game gaining 11 kills with #6 Nella Woelfel right behind her with 10. Digs were spread across the roster, but #6 Nella Woelfel and #8 Adria Butt hit the floor the most with 5 and 4 respectively. Setter #4 Karen Greek had a strong showing with an impressive 25 assists to help her team fight for the sets. 

The following day, the Saint Mary's Huskies took the game 3 sets to Memorial's 1. The Huskies took the first set 25-13 where they accumulated some strong kills from #17 Emelia Mikanovich. The Sea-Hawks then fought back, taking the second set 25-16 with the help of 13 overall kills. The Huskies responded by taking the next two sets 25-17 and 25-19. Kills were distributed throughout the team with both #6 Nella Woelfel and #16 Lydia Grawer hitting 9 kills each, and #8 Adria Butt and #20 Taylar Johnston hitting 8 a piece. Setter #4 Karen Greek once again had a solid game with 32 assists. On the defensive end, #5 Sarah Trowbridge managed to compile a game high 13 digs to keep the ball in play. A strong team effort helped the Sea-Hawks to their first set win of the season.

This upcoming weekend, the Sea-Hawks will host the 4th place Dalhousie Tigers. Players to look out for include #8 Talia Vydykhan who has accumulated 65 total kills so far in 6 games, first in the AUS. The Tigers are also home to an impressive libero, #13 Alessandra Nadalini who is first in the AUS with 102 digs.

Leading the Sea-Hawks in kills is #6 Nella Woelfel who has hit 27 in only 4 games. Behind her is #16 Lydia Grawer with 20 and #20 Taylar Johnston with 19 who also has the teams highest hitting percentage at 0.326. Setter #4 Karen Greek has been consistent with 93 assists, the most on the team by far. #5 Sarah Trowbridge has been a defensive star with 41 digs and 95 serve receptions. 

Come out to the Fieldhouse this weekend, Friday November 17th at 7:00 pm and Saturday November 18th at 1:00 pm, to cheer on your Sea-Hawks Volleyball team!
