Sea-Hawks Cross Country Teams Head to AUS Championships

Following their first event of the 2022-23 season at the Moncton Invitational, the Sea-Hawks are now on their way to the AUS Championship this weekend in Charlottetown, PEI. The Sea-Hawks have appeared in 1 prior event this season at the Moncton Invitational.

4th year runner Levi Moulton has continued to add to his resumé this season with another top finish at the Moncton Invitational earlier this month. Moulton finished in 2nd place in the Male 8k with an impressive time of 26:40.90, a mark that should give him the confidence he needs to capture this weekend's championship. 2nd year James Power was also able to put forth a solid performance earlier this season placing 12th with a time of 28:53.10. Other team members Noah Defreyne, Patrick Tarrant, and Evan Youden were all able to place in the top-25 in the first event of the season which should allow them confidence to do even better at the conference championship.

At the Moncton Invitational, the Sea-Hawks women were led by Maria Chafe and her 15th place finish with a respectable time of 33:53.80, while teammate Laura O'Keefe was close behind in 16 th (33:56.90). Other team members Nicole Hollohan, Keeley Cox and Abby Pace all put forth solid performances at the event in early October. Having performed well at this event should give both the men's and women's Sea-Hawks teams confidence heading into the AUS Championship, taking place on Saturday, October 29.
