SeaHawks conclude regular season in Halifax vs. The Huskies

The Sea-Hawks soccer teams travel to Halifax this weekend to conclude regular season play vs the Saint Mary's Huskies. In an unusual circumstance, this road trip features just 1 match for each team. Originally scheduled September 25th, these matches were postponed due to the aftermath of hurricane Fiona. Kickoffs are 11:30am NST for the women, and 1:45pm NST for the men's match.

Having secured qualification into the AUS playoffs, the women's soccer team will be looking to build momentum heading into the second season. A win over the Huskies would see the Sea-Hawks leapfrog the hosts and finish the regular season in 5th place. "We are pleased to secure a berth into the championship weekend, but we're not settling there. There was a lot of positives last weekend – 2 clean sheets, an increase in scoring, and points on the board – and we'll continue to build on that" said Coach Mike Power.

The Sea-Hawks men's team have been eliminated from playoff contention. Although a victory over SMU, combined with results elsewhere, could see Memorial finish the season tied for 6th place on points, unfortunately Dalhousie holds the tiebreaker. "We take the utmost pride in representing the institution, so despite the situation we will put our best foot forward and try to finish the season on a high note with a win." said Coach Jake Stanford.
