Allison Somers (Carbonear, NL) wrapped up her Sea-Hawks career with a trip to U SPORTS National Championships hosted by the University of British Columbia. Ally competed in 4 events and placed as follows:

50m Freestyle

Allison Somers – 47^th/49 – 27.83

100m Butterfly

Allison Somers – 28^th/35 – 1:03.55

50m Butterfly

Allison Somers – 38^th/40 – 28.75

200m Butterfly

Allison Somers – 22^nd/29 – 28.75

Somers was the lone Sea-Hawk to qualify for U SPORTS National Championships this season and attended the event with Head Coach Duffy Early. She was thrilled to qualify in her final season as a Hawk.

"Qualifying for U SPORTS was a goal of mine since first year, so I'm thankful to be able to finish of my 5^th year of eligibility at U SPORTS competing in a final. It was great to have coach Duffy by my side since her and Coach Chris put a lot of work into Memorial Swimming to ensure we are prepared to perform at these competitions"
