HALIFAX, NS – The Dalhousie Tigers are the 2019 Subway AUS Swimming Champions. At the end of the third and final day of the championships hosted by Dalhousie University, the men's team captured their 22nd consecutive conference championship and the women earned their 18th consecutive win.
The Sea-Hawks took home 7 medals at AUS Championship, with Allison Somers (Carbonear, NL) also qualifying for the U Sports National Championships in the 200m Fly, which will be hosted at UBC from Feb. 21-23, 2019.
Somers and rookie Thomas Chafe (St. John's, NL) were the Sea-Hawks individual medal winners. The Memorial relay team was also able to claim 2 medals this weekend. The podium finishes were as follows:
