Adopt a Hawk!

What is the Adopt a Hawk program?

Our program was created to provide increased financial support for our student-athletes and teams. The Adopt a Hawk program gives our fans, alumni, family and friends and corporations the ability to support their favourite teams and have a tangible impact on the Sea~Hawks ability to succeed in their sport and in the classroom. Your gift will create opportunities to provide resources to help recruit and retain the best student-athletes, enhance the student-athlete experience, bolster our exhibition travel programming and support student financial awards.

Why support the Sea~Hawks?

The best varsity programs in Canada are built by the most dedicated supporters. Memorial’s student-athletes are committed to excellence in their academic studies, athletic training and competition, as well as being dedicated community leaders. Many of our students also work part-time jobs to supplement the costs of their education. Memorial is committed to ensuring that student-athletes who represent our university and our province are equipped for success.

How will your gift have an impact?

Your gift can be made in honour of any varsity athlete and will directly support that athlete’s team. The gifts that are received through the Adopt a Hawk program will be used to enhance Memorial University’s ability to offer athletic financial awards, resources for recruitment of top calibre players and exhibition travel and training. Each gift boosts our ability to be competitive on a regional and national scale.

Other ways to support the Sea~Hawks

The Adopt a Hawk program is one way that we are pleased to offer our supports the ability to have a tangible impact on their favourite teams. Opportunities also exist to sponsor a team or signature event, establish an annual or endowed award, or provide funding to name a physical space. If you would like to discuss ways that your passion and philanthropy for athletics could have a transformative effect on the lives of our student-athletes and programs please contact the Division of Varsity Athletics at any time for more information.
