Sea-Hawks Travel to UNB

The Memorial Sea-Hawks (0-3) look to avenge last week's losses to the SMU Huskies when they travel to UNB to face the Reds (0-2)

Despite the few losses the Sea-Hawks suffered last weekend, they showed a lot of compete and gave themselves chances to win each game. Sea-Hawks head coach John Slauenwhite appreciated the effort his team put forth "I felt we competed really well this past weekend, giving ourselves opportunities to win on Friday and Sunday". Sea-Hawks right-side hitter Cecilie Dumaresque offered up some tremendous performances, recording 10+ kills in 2 of the team's first 3 games. Outside-hitter Sarah Trowbridge has also been a standout this season, matching Dumaresque's mark of 10+ kills in 2 of 3 games, her 17 kills in the Sea-Hawks final game versus the Huskies is a team-high on the season. Leading the team on the defensive end, Libero Erin Grabka leads the team in digs with 43, a crucial part of the Sea-Hawks defence.

The visiting Reds suffered the same fate as the Sea-Hawks last weekend, dropping a pair of games to the Dalhousie Tigers. The Reds received great contributions from outside-hitter Kristen Burns, producing consecutive games with 10+ kills, and an impressive 27 digs through their opening two matches. Reds libero Katelyn Chapman leads the team in digs with 28, including an impressive 19 digs in their opening match versus Dalhousie.
