Sea-Hawks Drop Second Match

(St. John's, NL) – The Sea-Hawks dropped the second match of the weekend 3-0 to the Acadia Axewomen 

The first set was a battle for points, but Acadia fought hard and won 25-20 over the Sea-Hawks. Acadia dominated the rest of the game with their relentless attack and won the second set 25-10, and the final set 25-12.  

Acadia's outside hitter Lucy Glen-Carter (Toronto, ON) had an outstanding game, winning the Subway player of the game and recording 10 kills and 17 digs. As a team, Acadia registered 34 kills, 7 service aces, and 58 digs.  

Memorial's standout player of the game was Libero Hannah Potratz (Spirit River, AB), who kept her team in the game with a total of 14 digs. She took home Memorial's player of the game award with her strong effort and refusal to give up.
