The Memorial Sea-Hawks traveled to Ontario last week and geared up for a series of preseason games in preparation for their upcoming season. Their hard work and dedication created an impressive performance which  landed them victorious in all three games.

In their first game, the Sea-Hawks displayed dominance, overwhelming the York University Lions with a convincing score of 83-60.

The following match proved to be a fierce battle against the Guelph Gryphons, with both teams fighting to climb the scoreboard. In the end, the Sea-Hawks emerged with a narrow 73-70 victory after the final buzzer.

For their final game of their first preseason set, the Sea-Hawks once again asserted their dominance defeating the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 88-59.

The Sea-Hawks will be hosting the Laurier Golden Hawks and the UBC Thunderbirds for their final preseason showing before the regular AUS season begins.

"We had a good showing this past weekend in Ontario. It felt good to get some early games in before we host UBC and Laurier. We have a veteran group this season and have some exciting up and coming talent who did some positive things last weekend." Says coach head coach Mark English. "We scored at a really good pace and our overall defense was good for this early in the preseason. Our expectation heading into this weekend is to improve our rebounding and taking care of the basketball. Those things were weaknesses this past weekend and we've been focused as a group to address these this week in practice."

Come out and support your local Sea-Hawks and help cheer them to victory! Games will take place this Thanksgiving weekend at the MUN Fieldhouse.
