Sea-Hawks are Heading to Moncton

The Memorial Sea-Hawks Cross Country team are heading to the AUS Championships hosted by the Université de Moncton held on Saturday, October 30th with the Women's 8 km Race taking place at 12:00 PM ADT, and the men following shortly after at 1:00 PM ADT.

The Memorial Sea-Hawks men's team had a successful meet at the Acadia Invitational on October 2nd, finishing in third place. The team is led by third-year member Levi Moulton, who's 4th place finish at the Acadia Invitational with a time of 27:01 was the tops among Sea-Hawks runners. The last time the AUS Championship was held back in 2019, Moulton was able to run into a 5th place finish, a podium finish is definitely within grasp for Moulton. Sea-Hawks' Alexander Pittman (13th, 28:19), Ryne King (17th, 28:33), Aaron Wilcox (21st, 28:52), James Power (23rd, 29:21), Evan Youden (25th, 29:34), and Phoenix Tashlin Clifford (34th, 30:24) also posted strong showing at the Acadia Invitational, the Sea-Hawks only event up to this date.

The Women's team who's led by Jade Roberts, who's one of the premier cross country runners in all of the AUS, she posted the 2nd fastest time at the Acadia Invitational at 31:18. Back in 2019, during the last edition of the AUS Championship, Roberts emerged victorious and will obviously try and recreate that sensational performance. Roberts is confident in the team's pursuit of a finish on the podium: "Our team is ready to run relentlessly in pursuit of a medal finish at the AUS Championship this weekend". Other Sea-Hawks team members who participated in the Acadia Invitational include: Danielle Seviour (16th, 34.19), Olivia Cole (18th, 34:40), Maria Chafe (19th, 34:55), Keeley Cox (20th, 35:00), Laura O'Keefe (21st, 35:20), and Abby Pace (32nd 39:39), good enough to help the Sea-Hawks finish take home the silver.
Entering the AUS Championship this weekend, the Sea-Hawks will have a strong chance to leave with podium finishes in both the men's and women's.
