Sea-Hawks downed 3 to 0 by Tigers

(St. John's, NL) The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Memorial Sea-Hawks 3-0 in men's AUS volleyball action from The Field House on Saturday night.

The Dalhousie Tiger's jumped on the Sea-Hawks early and never let up, taking this one in straight sets. The win moves Dalhousie to 9 and 4 on the season, while the Sea-Hawks fall to 0 and 13.

Dalhousie was a picture of consistency in this one. They were able to stay within themselves, making a conscious effort to not over extend or take unnecessary risks. The discrepancy in errors speaks to this. Memorial committed 24 attacking errors, while the Tigers only 15. Keeping with that theme, the Sea-Hawks committed and additional 15 service errors, while the Tigers held that number to 7.

Dalhousie was led by Kristen O'Brien, who finished with a game-high 14 kills and 17.5 points in the win.  Adam Spragg was the setup man for the Tigers, leading the way with 26 assists.

Jordan Murrary finished with 11 kills and 6 digs for the Sea-Hawks. Jordan Knee chipped in with 9 kills, 10 digs, and 14 points.

These teams play a rematch tomorrow at 1:30 PM here at the Field House. If you can't make it to the venue, you can catch the game on AUStv.ca.
