Hawks Look to Tame Tigers

The Sea-Hawks are looking to break into the win column for the first time this year when they play the Dalhousie Tigers this weekend at the Field House. Currently 0-12, the Hawks are looking to start the final month of this season by eschewing the "winless" moniker.

It's a title they hardly deserve, based on the effort they've put forth this year. This is a team that despite its record has consistently worked hard to get better as the season has progressed. Glancing at the win/loss column fails to tell the whole story of this team, as it so often does. In speaking to Cisco Farrero, he extolled the team's work ethic, saying "We are always giving it out best effort and this group of guys has never remotely come close to quitting … We are constantly improving and the credit for that goes to the guys." Coach Farrero made it clear that his team isn't just rolling over. Frankly, that is evident from watching this team compete week in and week out, never looking defeated despite a trying season.

They'll be in tough against a talented Tiger's squad, who are looking to fine tune things headed toward the AUS Championship. Expect this matchup to be closer than it might seem, with Memorial coming out of a week off looking to start the final month of the season with their first victory of the year.

The matches can be seen at the Field House, or streamed live on AUStv.ca. Saturday's match goes at 7:30 PM, and Sunday's at 1:30 PM
