SEA-HAWKS COME HOME TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER WIN

The Matchup
The men's Sea-Hawks head into their second home weekend of the season with more fuel in their engines. After a great home-opener against Saint Mary's University the team had hoped to take their strong defensive play with them on the road and this time add to their offensive opportunities. The Sea-Hawks struggled with this in their first travel weekend versus UNB and Moncton where they were only able to secure ties in both matches.

Fortunately, Memorial found that good combination of defensive and offensive power this past weekend when they played the University of PEI and Mount Allison University. On the first day, the Sea-Hawks suffered a tough 3-0 loss against the Panthers but would bounce back in Sunday's match against MTA and find the offensive opportunities they needed to get the win they had hoped for. The Sea-Hawks earned this win by challenging the MTA keeper throughout the match, increasing their shots on goal by over a thousand percent from their previous game. This 2-1 victory over the Mounties was led by Memorial goal scorers Jacob Grant (25') and Kyle Williams (68').

As the Sea-Hawks return home with a 1-2-3 record they will continue to battle hard in each match-up to find a few more wins before the regular season is out. The Sea-Hawks have shown strong defense in all their matches and many times have had some good scoring opportunities. The difference in a loss and a win for Memorial this weekend will be determined by just how many shots they can put on goal.
