Hawks Hunting for Road Points

Hawks Hunting for Road Points

The Memorial Sea-Hawks (1-4-3) travel to New Brunswick this weekend to take on the UNB Reds (5-2-3) and the Moncton Aigles Bleus (2-7-0).

The Hawks currently sit in 7th place in the AUS, 6 points behind the Saint Mary's Huskies for the final playoff spot. Memorial also has a game in hand on the Huskies. The men will certainly need to capture a win this weekend in order to keep those playoff hopes alive.

Memorial comes into the game not having played since September 29th & 30th when they hosted the U Sports #1 ranked Cape Breton Capers. While the Hawks were unable to get a victory, they did manage to earn a draw against the Capers, who sit at 7-0-2.  The team will look to build off that effort and gain some momentum down the stretch.

Ranaldo Morris (Mount Pearl, NL) will be a player to watch this weekend for the Hawks. Morris leads the team in goals, with 2, and has been a top performer for the Sea-Hawks all season long.

Memorial goalkeeper Sam Hawco (Mount Pearl, NL) was a standout during the teams home series with the Capers. If Hawco can continue his solid play it will surely give the Sea-Hawks a chance for points this weekend.

Memorial will play UNB on Saturday at 3:45pm NST and against Moncton on Sunday at 3:45pm NST. All games can be streamed live on AUStv.ca.
