Men’s Sea-Hawks Land Local Recruit

Brent Hennebury (Lawn, Newfoundland) has committed to the Memorial Sea-Hawks men's soccer team for the 2018-19 season.

It has been a busy offseason thus far for men's Head Coach Jake Stanford. He is pleased to announce the addition of Hennebury to next year's squad.

"I'm thrilled we have been able to add another local standout to the program. Brent will add skill and speed to our front line and will be a welcome addition to the program for many years to come."

Hennebury is a 6'0" forward from Holy Name of Mary Academy and is a product of the NLSA Provincial program (U12-U17), which includes being a member of the 2017 Newfoundland & Labrador Canada Games program. Hennebury also plays club soccer with the St. Lawrence Laurentian's of the Men's Challenge Cup league.

The young forward has achieved much local success, which includes multiple Provincial titles and an Atlantic Championship. He was also named the 2016 NLSA Junior Player of the Year.

Brent is planning on doing General Studies next year at Memorial. He is excited to join the team and looks forward to playing in front of family and friends.

"I feel I can bring a high level of play to the team and aid in the continued success of the program. The strengths of my game are my speed and flair, which I hope to put on display next season."

The Sea-Hawks open the season at home on Saturday, September 8th against the UPEI Panthers at King George V Soccer Field.  For more information, visit http://www.goseahawks.ca/
