Sea-Hawks contest X-Men on Home Court

Memorial Sea-Hawks (1-3) will face the St. FX X-Men (3-1) on home court this coming weekend.

 

This past weekend, the Sea-Hawks fell twice to the UNB Reds on the road. In the first game, the Sea-Hawks started off strong, leading the first and second quarter 24-17 and 46-29. The Reds then found their momentum and proceeded to dominate the next two quarters to end the game 77-65. Point leader for Memorial was Nick Tuff with 17. The Sea-Hawks dominated under the basket grabbing 44 rebounds led by Cameron Stanford with 13.

The second game against the Reds was another close matchup. The Sea-Hawks gained the first quarter lead 24-19. The Reds came back and at half, led the game 41-38. The Sea-Hawks then climbed to a 51-44 lead but the Reds stayed persistent and tied the third quarter at 61 a piece. The Reds found their groove and netted 24 points in the fourth quarter to take the game 85-73. Emmanuel Ring led the Sea-Hawks with 17 points. 

Sea-Hawks point leader so far is Emmanuel Ring who is averaging 18.5 points per game which puts him at 5th in the AUS. Close behind is Sea-Hawks Nick Tuff averaging 16.8 points per game at 7th in the AUS.

The Sea-Hawks are looking to add to their win column this weekend where they will face the second place St.FX X-Men. The St.FX X-Men are led by Dondre Reddick who is averaging 15 points per game with teammate Bennett Grumbach behind him with 11.3 points per game. They will take to the court at 8 pm on Friday November 10th and Saturday November 11th.
