The Memorial Sea-Hawks (6-4) head into a crucial weekend series versus the Cape Breton Capers (5-6), a pivotal two games for playoff positioning.

Following two crucial victories last weekend versus the StFX X-Men, the Sea-Hawks have jumped up into a tie for 2nd place in the AUS and will look to continue their ascent up the standings this weekend. Sea-Hawks star center, Cole Long, was awarded the Subway AUS Athlete of the Week for his contributions in last weekends' sweep, the versatile big scored 20+ points in both games and shined from three-point range. Long's 20.9 points-per-game ranks 2nd in the entire conference, he can score a variety of ways, especially from three-point range, Long averages 2.4 made three-point shots per-game, which is 3rd in the AUS. Point guard Jason Thompson leads all Sea-Hawks players in assists-per-game with 4.4, consistently using his great vision to find the open man. An under-the-radar player to watch is freshman guard Flynn Boardman-Raffet by way of London, England, he's started each of the last three games for the Sea-Hawks and has been able to contribute in multiple different facets of the game.

The Cape Breton Capers enter this weekend in 4th place, stuck in a four-team logjam that will likely decide playoff positioning. The Capers boast the top-scoring player in the AUS, Osman Omar has been lethal all season, his 25.5 points-per-game lead the conference and rank him 3rd in all of Usport. The Capers will also need C.J. Bennett to continue his solid play, posting averages of 12.5 points-per-game-3.3 rebounds-per-game, and 1.6 steals-per-game, a tremendous secondary option to Omar. The Capers rely more on scoring from the mid-range and in the paint, with the ability to still knock down shots from three.

The Sea-Hawks and Capers will take to the court Saturday at 8:00 PM AST, with the finale taking place at 3:00 PM AST the following day.
