Sydney, NS – The Capers won their 2nd straight game with an 81-77 win over the Memorial Sea-Hawks afternoon at the Sullivan Fieldhouse. The Capers used a big 3rdquarter to get back into the game and then made some clutch plays down the stretch to come away with the victory. The Capers erased a halftime deficit with a 30-18 third quarter. The Capers were led in scoring by Omar Osman (Mississauga, ON) with 22 points and 5 assists. The Capers also received double-digit performances by Jason Callaghan (Syndey, NS) 13 points, Eugene Kankue (Ottawa, ON) 11 points and Ibrahim Gosselin-Diawara (Longueuil, QC) 10 points. Emmanuel Ring of the Sea-Hawks had an outstanding game with 37 points and 12 rebounds in a losing cause.  

Turning point – The Sea-Hawks tied the game with 13 seconds left but Omar held for last possession and scored on a drive with 3 seconds left to give the Capers a 2 point lead. Gosselin-Diawara made a defensive stop on the last possession to preserve the win.
