Coach English and the Memorial University women's basketball program are delighted to announce the addition of Nicole Campbell to their roster. Hailing from Scarborough, Ontario, Nicole brings a formidable presence as a 6'2 post player, along with a proven track record of excellence on and off the court.
Currently honing her skills with the YNBA Avengers club in the prestigious JUEL league, Nicole has been making waves with her stellar performance. Over her last six games, she has been averaging an impressive 4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, showcasing her prowess as a dominant force in the paint.
"We are thrilled to welcome Nicole to our team," expressed Coach English. "I have been following Nicole's development for over a year now and each time I watch she has improved. She exhibits impressive proficiency in securing rebounds and possesses remarkable skill in finishing near the basket. We look forward to seeing her grow as a person and basketball player on the court and within our university community."
Nicole's decision to join Memorial University is not only a testament to her athletic prowess but also to her academic aspirations. Expressing her excitement for the opportunity, Nicole shared, "I am really excited to be attending Memorial University next year. Memorial allows me the opportunity to pursue my degree in marine biology, while also giving me a chance to grow as a basketball player."
